Originally from Besançon, Émilien Revers moved to Alsace to attend a hospitality school, followed by a BTS in technical sales. He then worked for six years in the restaurant industry, including three years as a sommelier in Mulhouse. In 2017, he earned a BPREA at the Rouffach school and began working as a farmhand at several vineyards, all while trying to gain access to vineyard work—a challenge made more difficult by the fact that he is not from the region.
In 2019, he founded a wine trading company called «Raisins Sociaux» with a friend, Jean Fuchs, based in a cellar at the Léon Boesch estate in Soultzmatt. They purchased organic grapes and produced their first vintages over the course of two years. In 2021, Émilien officially launched his own project under the name Raisin Sauvage, with a winery located in Herrlisheim-près-Colmar, near Illhaeusern, a few kilometers north of Colmar, not far from the grand cru vineyards of Schlossberg, Furstentum, and Mambourg.
