The Thillardon brothers established their presence in the picturesque Chénas region in 2008, with the ambition of creating wines that reflect the very essence of the terroir. Their estate covers just over 11 hectares, offering a range of parcels with unique characteristics. What particularly distinguishes the Chénel terroirs on which they have put down roots is their diverse and varied nature. The soils are like a complex array of geology, with alluvial deposits that seem to tell the story of the rivers that have shaped them over the centuries. The pink granites bring a subtle minerality to the wines, while the presence of quartz adds a crystalline dimension to the flavors that develop in their cuvées.
Since 2010, they have chosen to collaborate with a Comtois mare, who assists them with grace and power in tilling their vines, revealing a deep commitment to the symbiosis between nature and human labor.
